With t no alter the /etc/hosts file system partition, which was also a problem devices (eg Nexus 7) because changes where reverted after reboot.
Technical:
Name resolution request with "No address associated hostname". T even better than a common hosts file .0.0.1, because no connection attemp follows. of hostnames tcpdump needed!

I'm using Dolphin Jetpack, which works fine. Some #47 XDA thread.
